good attempt. cheers

holy ass nice song

great i like this sort of filtered drum feel and the door feel. Keep it up

SkyeWint responds:

Cool, thanks man

be careful with buzzing and crackling sounds.. Especially if they are repeating as often as that some people might not llike it. I had bad comments wth it in the past. Good song but people wouldn't actualy download it and listen repeatedly bedafuse it has tooo many of those ambient effects

Step responds:

Whoops! I wanted to make it sound like a labortatory/factory was constantly at work, but maybe I went a bit overboard x_x.

Anyway, it works fine for the game so I guess that's at least a plus. Thanks for the honest criticism man, it's what helps my music improve!

I feel your songs are still a bit too tryhard to enjoy. Too many things going on and transitions are not perfect smooth just for chillaxed listening. Also at one point I think it's cliping then it goes to chiptune distortion. Weird effect there.
Still a very good song ofc

Step responds:

Perfectly valid (and probably correct) criticism. I'm telling you, I wish I could make good music without having a bunch of things going on, but I just can't do it! Maybe some time in the future I'll pick up the skill. Also, I'm not hearing any clipping, but I'm half-deaf so I can't notice this stuff that well.

Thanks for the feedback man, much appreciated. c:

not bad. I hear strings behind

InvisibleObserver responds:

Me too!

Not b ad song. I love that blown instrument thing. Not sure how it is called. Reminds me of HOMM.

I am not sure how you compose for that many violins but I would have reduced the attack and release for some of them to make like more powerful staccato hits if you know what I mean. I might be way off commenting on this but I kinda found that most of violin libraries are kinda made for these slow cinematic songs and sometimes they just don't have enough power and sound kind of like pads so you have to tweak it a bit.
Good luck

ChronoNomad responds:

I'm not sure if you mean the brass, which is a French Horn, or one of the woodwinds and reeds, which include the Piccolo, Oboe, and Bassoon. It's definitely gotta be one of those since everything else is a stringed instrument. :)

I've only been using FL Studio since the end of March/beginning of April, so I'm still learning how to effectively adjust the attack on Soundfont samples. Chalk it up to inexperience, I suppose. I really appreciate the comments and suggestions. Thanks for the great review, and good luck to you, as well!

cool. Could have more fills when song progresses and could have another synth for the bass. Ideas are not bad

wanted say there was no drop but it's not really dubstep ::) so it s all good i think its a good sonk

Vleetonk responds:

Well, see - it's a subgenre of Dubstep called Chillstep, which does not always have a gritty drop. I had to put it in the Dubstep category because there isn't a Chill category on Newgrounds. Thank you, though. I appreciate that very much :)

to begin my review, I have to tell that this style is obsolete and will never be popular or susccessful again.
At 1:15 violin doesn't fit
01L45 very creative hats to fill the space (sarcasm)
02:45 vibration and ticking synth doesnt sound well
muddy in general
wouldn't listen to it by choice because mixign i think is just wrong. IO think pads have bass on them which clashes with bass or something like that or i think this overcompressed or some other bigt issue that just makes sound horrible. Sidechain sounds shit Idk why.
I think I can hear it's composed kinda wrong
Don't get mad
Potato

DESHIEL responds:

Checked out your music and therefore I can't take your review seriously.
