cool, downloading the EP
thanks!
ahhahaha, fruity FPC, nice try. I used to make dnb with that too
Yeah, I'm still using all the standard plug-ins. Would you be able to suggest another percussion one I could use? I'm not a huge fan of FPC.
Thanks for the comment.
spot on
very good presentation of popular music today and funk. I'll be surprised if you don't win
good song
not bad. Everything is fine maybe except the ticking. Also could have even more arpeggios and more heavy leads for the newgrounds taste
The ticking is what inspired the song, without it, the rest wouldn't be there, so it was rather unavoidable.
As for more arpeggios/heavy leads, yeah, I've never been much good at layering stuff to any great extent, this song only really has 3 synths total (Arp, lead, bass), rest is percussion. I'm working on making songs a bit more full though, I've got a couple song ideas in the works that add a few more layers than normal (Normal for me that is).
Thanks for the review!
tralalalala
Very nice. I am not expert of this style but I dont think there is anything wrong with this particular piece. This contest will be rated mainly on composition so I think you have pretty good chance to win it
There is a lot wrong with it, but in the end I was pleased enough to upload it, wasn't I? Thanks for the review and high score!
dicks
first part was nice but second part sucked. I dunno, man
I like the second part more than the first. :P
Sup
Not a trance producer but some tips
1. Too short intro
2. Build up with drums aswell as with melody
3. Needs bass instrument
How to continue:
Add bass
Add some arps or something
Make more details
Thanks for making it brief. Quite helpful and simple. ;D
great track
amazing work with keyboard man. Great track. One thing about your songs is that your drums for some reason do sound like from 70s pop songs.. with afros. I am not saying that there is anything wrong with it. Percussion is very good in this track and there is also that oldschool drum feel
Wow, thanks!
Also, songs can have afros now? That is so cool :D.
I'm glad you like the percussion, thanks a lot!
Sad
Steve jobs would be proud of you but what's the point man... What's the point now? You should have spent all your time and energy to make him happy while he was still arround us. Did he even know that you existed? I don't think so
Thanks you for your review, eatmeatleet.
I knew of his existence maybe a year before Pirates of Silicon Valley came out. As much as Steve wanted to reach out to everyone across the globe, I find that it'd be a dream if he actually had known of and visited NewGrounds.
In the afterlife he can start receiving our giving back to him, all at once!
