well, I agree with the topic. But I generally do not like love songs or even songs with lyrics for that matter. Part of it is because when I was young I could not listen to these fake love songs or political propaganda songs, rap songs, etc..

Often with love songs, it is about "club love" or "bad romance" which is more realistic but somewhat cringe too. Using a name is somewhat creepy and it often does age fast, especially these days.

People do not want to be emotionally invested while still eating the cake, you know what I means.

I disagree. When two people are in love they tend to use each others names quite often when speaking to each other. Why would it be creepy to do it while singing to a person? I await your reply. Not that there's anything wrong with your personal views but it doesn't quite make sense... I mean you could give a reason why you think that. And it may be a very logical reason. I'd really like to know...
